Pois bem, minha gente, depois de todo aquele babado que aconteceu no Oscar 2022, chegou a vez da indústria musical brilhar na cerimônia do Grammy 2022, que aconteceu neste domingo (3).
A eterna rainha da sofrência, Marília Mendonça foi homenageada na cerimônia. A sertaneja morreu em um acidente trágico no dia 5 de novembro de 2021. A homenagem póstuma começou com o baterista do Foo Fighters, Taylor Hawkins ao som de "My Hero". Vários artistas que foram lembrados, além de membros da equipe técnica que morreram no último ano.
"Toda a comunidade da música ainda está de luto pela luz que perdemos semana passada com a morte de Taylor Hawkins. Continuamos a mandar nosso amor e estendemos nossos maiores sentimentos a sua família e amigos", compartilhou a Academia nas redes sociais.
Contudo, precisamos destacar os artistas que brilharam durante o evento e levaram o desejado grammyfone para casa. Entre os nomes da noite, temos a brasileira, Eliane Elias. A artista ganhou na categoria "Melhor Álbum de Jazz Latino do Ano", com "Mirror, Mirror".
Eliane Elias tem 62 anos e é pianista desde os 13 anos. Se mudou para Nova Iorque na década de 1980 e foi casada com o trompetista americano, Randy Brecker, e tiveram uma filha, a cantora Amanda Brecker. Eliane usou as redes sociais para agradecer o prêmio.
"Estou emocionada por receber o Grammy de Melhor Álbum de Jazz Latino do Ano. Os duetos com Chucho Valdes e Chick Correa tem um significado muito especial pra mim e compartilho essa honra com eles. Obrigada a todos envolvidos na realização de "Mirror, Mirror". Estou honrada e grata."
